I am a freelance photographer living in Rio de Janeiro, district of Rio de Janeiro. Although I am not formally trained as a photographer, I have attended numerous seminars and workshops on photographic tecniques. I have had a passion for photography for over 30 years and the greatest influences on my style are the nature and street photographers. I enjoy most sharing my vision of what I find in my way through the lens of my cameras, nowadays, a Canon 7D, an Olympus E-510 and a very good set of lens.

I'm member of ABAF, a brazilian association of art photographers. I concentrate and specialize in nature and fine art photography but I also enjoy on-the-scene photojournalism.

All of the photographs in this site are available for purchase. I also produce and sell my own line of note cards using my original photographs.

Without joining the ongoing debate about the manipulation of images, I will just say that the digital process is one more tool the photographic artist has at their disposal. As a sometime press photographer, I am absolutely against any manipulation of an image that is supposed to document an event, if the intent is to lead the viewer to see something other than what actually happened.

My fine art prints which are intended to evoke an appreciation for what they are. I only do small corrections as sharpening or soft focusing or balancing brightness and contrast. In any case, I hope you find at least one image that will make you say "Great!".
